If you incorporate any kind of storytelling you can create suspense whether it’s B2B or B2C. In either case, it’s a human being who reads your stuff.

I’m not sure if you mean technical content or technical documentation. If it’s straight technical documentation you’re talking about, then I don’t see a path. Nobody reads that by choice. But if it’s content meant to bring in an audience then there is no reason why you can’t include story elements.

Keep your piece focused on one big idea. Multiple ideas make it hard to follow. For technical content that requires focus from the reader, it’s probably even more important.

Another way to think about it is to show the “what” in the beginning. The rest of the piece details the “how”

The final “how” brings it all together.

I don’t write about any technical stuff so I can’t share an example.
