I’m 45. I lived the old fashion dating scene in he 90's. I was also part of the first generation of online dating. My recollection from old school dating is lots of rejection, uncertainty, competition and waiting in line at crowded bars hoping to meet someone new. Online dating offered relief from that grind. Back then we had a conversation on the 3rd date about what story we’d tell our friends and family about how we met. It was uncool to say you met online.

Ironically, I later met my wife while going on a run.
