I’ve changed a lot over the years too in some ways. In other ways, I’m the same person I was in my 20s. My friends have changed too as my interests, life situations, and goals have changed. Most of my friends from back then are either distant friends (we speak once every few months) or completely out of my life.

It might sound depressing to know that most of your friends today will only be distant friends in ten years, but it’s not a bad thing. These transitions are part of life. The only wrong choice is trying to compromise who you are to fit in with a group that’s no longer compatible with who you are.
